Jason Easom - Roadmaster Truck Driving School Graduate and Instructor

“I’d just lost my job of six and a half year as an operations manager. It was hard to find employment when the economy changed. I was told that with a Class A License and a clean [driving record] you could find a job anywhere. I went through my training and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to become a trainer, I wanted to help people. I enjoy working with people and being a teacher. I went into training and I was on the road for about a year a half when this position became available where I was able to get off the road and help more students. I still have my Class A [License], and I still use it, but I use it in a different form now.” “One of the instructors here, Lance, was my instructor and he was really hard on [me], but it taught [me] the right way. I pulled him aside today and thanked him; I said, ‘I use a lot of your training that you taught me on the road.’ And he was very appreciative of that. We do have very good trainers here. They care about you and they want to see you do well.” “This is a career opportunity to see the United States on somebody else’s dollar. And that’s a huge opportunity.” At Roadmaster, Students are trained through a combination of classwork and hands-on driving to ensure competent, prepared drivers on completion of CDL training.
