Is Roadmaster A Credible Truck Driver Training School?

When looking into a CDL training school, it’s important to make sure the school is credible. Obviously, you don’t want to waste money on a scam school and end up with a large bill and no proper training.

But how can you tell if a CDL school is credible or not?

Well, two of the best ways are:

1. Affiliations

The first way to tell if a school is legitimate and credible is to check whether or not it has affiliations with respectable industry organizations.

Some good affiliations to look for include the American Trucking Associations (ATA) and the Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA). These national trade associations help to validate their member schools and organizations because the associations have certain standards required for membership.

Roadmaster Drivers School, for example, holds membership in both of these trade associations nationally. Plus, many of our individual schools are affiliated with their own local or regional trucking associations, adding an extra level of accountability.

2. Track Record

Another good bench mark for a truck driver training school’s credibility is its track record. Try to find out how long the school has been in business and how many people it has already trained.

The longer a school has been around and the more students it has worked with, the more clear it becomes that the school isn’t a “fly-by-night” operation and that you can probably trust it. Plus, it’ll give you a good idea of how experienced the school is when it comes to the actual training you’re going to receive.

As for Roadmaster’s experience? We’ve been operating since 1992 and have trained over 75,000 men and women to become truck drivers.

Along those same lines, Roadmaster has 13 schools all across the country. It’s helpful to consider the number of locations a school has, too, because the more “roots” an organization has, the less likely it is to be a scam or to disappear all of the sudden and leave you in the lurch.
